Oakmont Lodge

Purpose-built in 2012, Oakmont Lodge offers the highest quality care in the most luxurious, hotel-style accommodation in Northern Ireland.

Located in Bangor, County Down, Oakmont Lodge offers residential care, nursing care, dementia care in addition to respite and convalescent care.

Oakmont Lodge has a total of 80 bedrooms across two floors, all of which are specially designed and beautifully decorated to make residents feel perfectly at home. In 2020, we officially opened a 24-bed extension, specially designed to cater to the complex needs of residents living with various forms of dementia.

Rooms

The luxurious rooms at Oakmont Lodge include a comfortable bed promising a great night’s sleep. Individual wet-room-style en-suite bathrooms offer convenience, privacy and independence.

Each room features a flat screen TV allowing residents to catch up on their favourite programmes, a telephone point and Wi-Fi throughout the home, enabling residents to connect with loved ones throughout the day.

Bedrooms at Oakmont Lodge, whilst designed for style and comfort, include safety features to enable residents to move freely and independently without risk of injury.

All our rooms also feature a nurse call system connecting our residents to our nurses and care assistants 24/7, providing piece of mind that help is available if required.

Communal Areas

Residents are welcome to invite their loved ones in to enjoy our communal spaces.

Break-out rooms are also available for private family gatherings, as well as our extensive landscaped garden area with ample outdoor seating.

All our rooms are modern and contemporary in style, decorated to a five-star hotel standard and offer comfort and luxury to our residents and their guests.

Dining

Good nutrition is paramount to maintaining a healthy mind and body and that’s exactly what we offer here at Oakmont Lodge.

Our resident chefs carefully plan well-balanced menus and lovingly creates mouth-watering dishes for our residents to enjoy at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our pastry chef bakes fresh, daily made cakes and buns to devour for elevenses, afternoon tea and supper.

Whilst menus are planned in advance, they change weekly and vary based on the seasonality of produce, ensuring residents are always savouring the freshest, ripest, tastiest local ingredients. Where possible, daily alternatives will be offered should there be something on the menu that doesn’t quite tickle the taste buds.

Our on-site catering teams regularly engage with residents and families to ensure dietary requirements and preferences are being met.

Events and Facilities

Maintaining an active and social lifestyle is important for physical and mental wellbeing.

Each week we host activities, events and excursions in addition to dance classes, music sessions, games and arts and crafts to make sure our residents enjoy a variety of experiences together.
